Edinburgh St James Quarter could see a new patisserie opening if plans are approved by the council.
The new shopping and dining development has seen a huge range of venues open up in the last year, from a bowling alley to the Bonnie and Wild food hall.
However, plans have now been submitted for a new eatery to join the ranks, with Edinburgh Patisserie Ltd hoping to launch on the quarter's third floor.

Currently a vacant unit, proposals have suggested allowing the cake shop and cafe occupy the space, with the new design to include its very own cake counter and seating area.
Appearing to allow customers to sit in as well as takeaway, the site will have open glass windows facing out onto the main shopping centre, giving a great view for people watching.

Although not to be equipped with an entire restaurant style kitchen, the venue would also have a panini machine, a waffle iron, a soup urn and a bake-off oven to serve up different items.
A final decision is yet to be given from the council, with the plans submitted for consideration on March 23.
