Edinburgh shopping centre to host Nerf zombie battle royale event

Edinburgh residents will be able to enjoy another fun filled Nerf gun event at Ocean Terminal this November but with an added twist - Zombies!

The ‘Infection’ event will take place on November 12 from 8:00-10:00pm and will see a raft of individual and team games unfold on the evening. Entrants, who must be eight and over, will be able to battle it out with friends and strangers at one Edinburgh’s largest shopping centres.

Organisers say that anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by and adult - who is welcome to spectate or get involved themselves. However parents are warned not to treat the event as a ‘creche’ and head off for a bite to eat or a movie.

Live zombie actors will be involved in the Nerf battle royale so it is important that no young children are in attendance.

Those behind the event said: “Battle it out in one of Edinburgh’s largest shopping centres, in one of the UK’s biggest ever Nerf events! With added Zombies! There will be team and individual games, including our favourite “Infected”!

This event is suitable for everyone aged 8 and over – Mums and Dads are encouraged to join in! Anyone under 14 must have an adult on site and available, either playing or spectating.

“This is not a creche so please do not head off to see a movie/have dinner while your child is taking part in the event! Please bring along your blasters (we do not provide these) and make sure you write your name on all blasters and attachments – anything that belongs to you, write your name on it

“Modded blasters are permitted but the Feet Per Second limit is 100fps Max (not average). We will have a chronometer on site to check any blasters.

“We have 20,000 darts and also Rival rounds for you so please do not bring any. Nerf MEGAs are welcome – we will not be providing these so please bring your own ammo and ensure they are marked up as yours!

“Any other type of dart/brand must be discussed in advance – get in touch to avoid disappointment on the night. There will be zombie actors during this event which may prove too much for young children hence the minimum age.

“Please ensure all players have watched the videos of previous events on our YouTube channel before attending. All tickets are eTickets sent by email – please ensure you have your tickets available either on your phone or printed off (phone is better for the environment – please bear this in mind).

“Free parking at South end of Ocean Terminal is available and we ask that all players enter via one of two entrances only: The Boardwalk roller park (from street) or Transgression Park (from multi storey car park).

“Event registration is located at the old New Look unit next to the Boardwalk. Protective eyewear must be worn by all players. We will have pairs for sale on the night £5 each (kids and adult sizes).

“This event will be video recorded and pictures taken – by purchasing this ticket you have agreed to this.”
