Edinburgh shop abandoned for 10 years to be given new lease of life

A large retail space, the site had previously been a wine shop as well as the Marchmont Market, but was last occupied all the way back in 2012.

Over the last ten years, the store has lay vacant, with a battered up for lease sign appearing to get next to no attention.

However, local residents were pleased this week after some movement seemed to be going on behind the whitewashed windows.

Describing themselves as “family owned with family values”, the spot will be opening up their latest branch in Edinburgh.

Selling a rang of fitted kitchens, the company also has stories in Glasgow, Ayr, Bishopbriggs and East Kilbride.

Opening hours are still to be confirmed by The Kitchen Depot.
