Edinburgh festivalgoers heading to TRNSMT this weekend have been issued important travel advice by ScotRail.
The rail providers have announced extra trains from busy stations including Edinburgh Waverley as well as late night trains back to the capital from Glasgow Green.
The popular annual music festival is set to feature the likes of The 1975, Sam Fender, The Pulp, Kasabian and George Ezra and will take place from July 7 to July 9.

It will be the sixth time the festival has taken place at Glasgow Green with thousands making the journey from across the country, meaning public transport will be busier than usual.
Festivalgoers have been advised that there isn't any parking at the no-camping festival, so the best way to get there is via public transport. And for those planning on getting the train, ScotRail has announced it'll be running extra services to accommodate to the large crowds, reports the Record.
On their website ScotRail said: "We're adding extra seats to trains in and out of Glasgow throughout the three-day festival at Glasgow Green, which runs from Friday, 7 July to Sunday, 9 July 2023.
"Some trains have been retimed to support the event, so please check and plan your journey in advance. This includes some services leaving later than normal to help get you home.
"Additional late-night trains will also be in operation with later trains to Inverclyde, Ayr, Edinburgh, and East Kilbride."
How to buy train ticketsIn order to experience the smoothest journey possible when heading to TRNSMT, ScotRail highly recommends buying your tickets in advance.
You can do this via the mTicket system on the ScotRrail app, meaning you can buy tickets from the comfort of your home, or on the way to the station, and it will instantly become available on your mobile device.
And although heading to a festival is an exciting time, passengers are being reminded that all alcohol is strictly prohibited aboard ScotRail services as well as in all the stations.
