A six-year-old boy from Edinburgh is has secured the top prize in a national competition aiming to raise awareness of the climate crisis.
Tor Baldorf Pirso impressed judges in the Young Creatives category of the 'Visions of a Climate Heritage' competition organised by Historic Environment Scotland (HES).
The national competition, aimed at inspiring climate action, showcases Scotland's historical and environmental heritage, looking at the country's past, present and future climate state.
Tor's photograph 'Beach Litter - plastic in the sea,' shows an aquatic creature made up of disused plastic shards, surrounded by greenery made from single-use shopping bags.
After getting the news, Tor said: "I am so happy that I won! I wanted to show how the sea and the wildlife are in danger, so please don't litter."
Alison Turnbull, Director of Development and Partnership at HES, said
"I would like to extend my congratulations to the winners of Visions of Climate Heritage, our first-ever crowdsourcing competition. We had a myriad of fantastic submissions, and all the winning entries help to tell Scotland's climate story in their own unique way.
"I was particularly struck by the interesting different interpretations of the brief and the creativity on display from everyone who took part in the competition.
"Our Visions of Climate Heritage exhibition clearly demonstrates the power that our history and heritage have to unlock creativity and encourage us to all think about climate change issues in a different way.
"We hope that the images that form the exhibition, which is on display on the HES website, along with the winning entries, will become an important resource for telling our continuing climate story and help to inspire the positive and sustainable changes required on our journey to net-zero."
An online exhibition with photography and artwork submitted by the members of the public is available on the HES website. It is the first exhibition compiled of contributions from people all around the country, regardless of their artistic background.
Visions of Climate Heritage, which launched to coincide with COP26, has been developed by HES in partnership with the Heritage Trust Network and the Scottish Council on Archives in response to the climate emergency.
