Edinburgh’s Sweaty Betty women’s New Town boutique looks set to get a makeover.
The City of Edinburgh Council validated the proposal from the popular women’s active wear boutique.
They want to refit their shop with new decorations, floors and fitting rooms at their George Street store.

A design and access statement on the planning application explains that the design will compliment the existing B-listed building.
It says: “Sweaty Betty wishes to upgrade the current shop fit out to complement the existing building.
“The light fit-out on the ground floor includes the following: we propose to lay a new timber floating floor through-out and will build out fitting rooms in the back portion of the shop. We will be provisioning for a DDA fitting room.
“The shop front will be repainted in RAL 7012, dark grey, with a light grey Sweaty Betty Vinyl applied.”
The council will make a decision on the application in the coming weeks.
