Edinburgh’s yearly Hogmanay street party could be scrapped as council bosses look at ways to revamp the festival.
City councillors in the capital are on the hunt for a new producer of the city's winter festival from 2022-2025.
Producers would have to provide a ‘significant midnight moment’, which could include the likes of fireworks, drones or lighting to bring in the bells. A street party will not be required.
