Edinburgh rugby fan takes on roadworks obstacle course in drunken escapade

An Edinburgh rugby fan was caught on camera this week after he tried to take on a large series of roadworks near the city centre.

The large redevelopment works has taken over a large section of Roseburn, with the alternating construction set to cause disruption for the best part of a year.

With a large amount of cones and barriers in place, Tiktok user @ananbananabel had captured the moment a drunken sports fan had caused a stir as he attempted to clamber over them.

In what appeared to be a late night escapade, the middle-aged gentleman was filmed by two passers by as he made his way through the maze of cones.

Starting at one end of the roadworks, the fan, who had managed to lose his shirt, began making his way over the red barriers with a gallant attempt.

Making a quick leap over the first hurdle, his impressive jump is quickly ruined as he appears to lose his footing, smashing into the next with force.

Skipping a couple due to their "corners", the man is then caught on camera as he completes what can only be described as a sad forward roll, before jumping again, falling, and smacking his head off of the next series of works.

Captioning the clip "what have I just witnessed", the tiktoker and other passers by could be heard laughing in the background during the 'performance.'
