Edinburgh roads to close as Queen's coffin taken to airport

The Queen's coffin was taken from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to St Giles' Cathedral on Monday

ROADS will close in Edinburgh on Tuesday afternoon to allow for the Queen's coffin to be taken to Edinburgh Airport ahead of a flight to London.

The coffin - which remained in St Giles' Cathedral overnight - will be moved at 5pm along the Royal Mile before travelling down Johnstone Terrace and onto Lothian Road, Queensferry Street, Dean Bridge, and Queensferry Road before arriving at the airport.
