A video clip has shown the incredible transformation of one of Edinburgh's busiest retail parks in the last decade.
The short compilation, posted to TikTok on Thursday, quickly saw over 1,300 likes and 86,000 views after it showcased the changes made to Straiton since 2008.
Using a series of Google Maps images, user Retail Intruiged had described the improved features, buildings and shops that had been brought to the area, next to the city bypass.

Known to be the home of Edinburgh's IKEA and Costco stores, the video focussed on the other side of the retail park, which is now home to the likes of Nike and Matalan.
Starting with a Google image shot of the area in 2008, the shops were described as a "rundown looking retail park", with the video showing a dated and tired Halfords store as well as a less-organised car park layout.

Moving to the next images, which were taken six years later in 2014, the first refurbishments to the shopping district can be seen, with a newly constructed set of shop units which were housing the likes of
Skipping forward another four years to 2018, the clip shows a much busier car park as shoppers enjoyed the more recent additions such as a new Nando's restaurant.
Finally, the most recent images, taken in 2022, showed how Straiton had seen "new retail units built" to allow for the terraced shops standing today.
