A number of Edinburgh locals were left looking up to the sky on Saturday after a huge RAF plane was seen soaring over the city.
Making quite the spectacle as it flew over the capital, the aircraft could be seen for miles due to its huge size, as it made its way from the coast at East Lothian.
Arriving over Edinburgh at around 6.15pm, the RAF Airbus A400M stood out against the clear skies, with many catching a glimpse as it flew directly over the city centre.

According to FlightRadar24, the plane had travelled up from the Northolt base in the south of England, before veering to the East Coast just after crossing the border.
From there, the plane is seen to have done several loops over the coast near Dunbar, before making a beeline across the capital and returning south again.
