A busy Edinburgh city centre pub has hit back at a customer's review on TripAdvisor that labelled staff "unfriendly" and "rude."
The seething customer left a one-star review on the website after reportedly being told to leave the Rose Street Brewery, saying staff refused to serve her and her husband. In response, the bar said the woman's husband "catcalled" one of their bartenders.
The customer, from Sunderland, did not hold back when writing the review, saying that the two of them only had "two pints of lager" on their travels before turning up at the pub.

They said: "We were refused to be served for a drink by the most rudest barmaid, she said my husband was too drunk, we had been out for a meal & only had two pints of lager, no way was he drunk.
"She kept repeating herself over & over then threatened to phone the police when we told her we would be leaving a bad review on Trip advisor, absolutely disgusting treatment."
However, the pub soon hit back and provided their own version of events, saying the real reason for suspecting the customer was under the influence was the "inappropriate" way he spoke to a member of staff.
The manager of the Rose Street Brewery wrote: "I understand that another member of your party has brought up this matter in a previous review. We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your visit with us and I apologise for any upset we have caused.
"However, the customer had catcalled a member of staff, which not only is inappropriate, but also the reason that led staff to believe he was under the influence."
