A Scottish man was charged with breaching the peace on Monday afternoon after he was arrested on Edinburgh's Royal Mile during Queen Elizabeth II's funeral procession up Edinburgh's Royal Mile on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 22-year old man was arrested and charged in connection with a breach of the peace on the Royal Mile around 2.50pm on Monday, 12 September 2022.
"He was released on an undertaking to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
At least one other protester was arrested during Edinburgh's royal events for holding an anti-monarchy sign containing expletives this week.
