The moment a man popped the question to his partner while sitting at a popular Edinburgh city centre beauty spot has been captured in a perfectly-timed photo.
The heart-warming moment was captured, by chance, in Princes Street Gardens on Saturday morning. The witness, Paula Smith, uploaded the picture to social media, insisting that she is not a 'pure stalker'.
She continued: "Not to be a pure stalker or anything but caught this cute as hell engagement in Princes St Gardens, Edinburgh, this morning while taking a photo of the view. Would love to find the couple so they can see it!"

The incredibly pure moment shows the man seeking his opportunity in one of the capital's busiest greenspaces and popping the question while the unsuspecting woman holds out her hand.
Although Paula didn't say what the outcome was, she suggests in her post that the lucky lady said yes to her partner.
There must have been something in the air as we earlier reported how a full wedding ceremony took place on Portobello Beach just hours later, with hundreds of on-lookers smitten as they watched on.
The spot, which is typically swarming with sun worshipers in the summer, made for the perfect backdrop as an image taken by one eye-witness, Ruth Boreham, captured the sea in the background.
