Edinburgh will soon hold the title of being the home of the 'world's smallest whisky bar' after plans were revealed to transform an old capital police box.
On Friday August 5, the one-seater bar will open at a 'wee' police box located in the heart of Edinburgh, on Princes Street, and will be serving drinks for the duration of the Fringe Festival.
The one-of-a-kind, one-seater drinking hole is being introduced by Scotland-based international Scotch Whisky independent bottler Cask 88, at the junction of Hope Street and Shandwick Place, just outside the Johnnie Walker whisky experience.

This week, a spokesperson for the company confirmed to Edinburgh Live; "At Cask 88, our clan is always up to fun stuff, and our latest said fun project is turning one of Edinburgh’s wee police boxes into a tiny whisky bar!
"Our dinky whisky bar can hold just one guest and one whisky-savvy bartender at a time, so it really is tiny!
"Size isn’t everything, so we do hope visitors who come down to sample a dram of our holy water will leave feeling satisfied."
Work is currently underway to convert the police box into the unique whisky boozer.
It will welcome its first customer(s) next Friday and will open from 12-7pm daily throughout the month!
