A tremendous crowd could be seen marching through Edinburgh on Saturday after hundreds turned out for Edinburgh Pride, 2022.
Cancelled in 2021 due to coronavirus restrictions, the event was the first since the pandemic to go ahead, with many flocking to take part in the LGBTQ+ parade. Beginning outside the Scottish Parliament at 12.30pm, a large number gathered at Holyrood to start the route, that stretched across the city centre.
With warm and sunny weather allowing ideal conditions for the event, a number of road closures were also put in place to allow the march to run smoothly.

A host of Pride flags were seen billowing in the wind outside the Scottish Parliament, with many also attending in eye-catching and colourful dress and costumes to celebrate.
Gathering together before heading up the Royal Mile, one individual had even arrived on an unusual bicycle with a basket in the bag, that was occupied by an adorable dog, also dressed in Pride colours.

MSP Alex Cole-Hamilton was also seen speaking at the event from the top of an Edinburgh City tour bus, where he gave a speech over a tannoy.
As well as welcoming the crowds, the Scottish Liberal Democrat leader also made reference to the ongoing overturn of Roe v Wade in the U.S, which has seen the constitutional right to abortion overruled.
Involving the crowd, Mr Hamilton could be heard shouting "this is what a democracy looks like", which was echoed by those attending the march.
Former Edinburgh Council leader Adam McVey also shared a snap on social media of himself at the march with Pride flags painted onto his cheeks, while Police Scotland shared an incredible image from above of the crowds moving up the Cowgate.
The Pride march followed the route from Holyrood to Canongate, before heading to St Mary's Street, Cowgate, Bristo Place, Potterrow and finally arriving at the EUSA campus.
