Edinburgh Police reported a driver outside primary school today as they stepped up their road safety crackdown.
Officers were out today continuing on with patrols to increase safety for children walking to school in the morning.
However, they were disappointed at having to issue one person with a fixed penalty notice and reported them to the Procurator Fiscal for ‘poor driving practices.’

Police attended both St John’s Primary School and Duddingston Primary School today, along with parking attendants from the City of Edinburgh Council.
Officers are stepping up their presence outside of schools, as they spearhead a campaign to ensure Edinburgh children can walk to school safely.
It is unclear what offence the driver is said to be guilty of but they will now have to face the consequences for what was deemed 'poor driving practice.'
They were reported by Edinburgh police officers and will now have to pay a fine.
A spokesperson said: “#NECPT were again out at DuddingstonPS and at Porty_StJs, along with @Edinburgh_CC Parking Attendants to address poor driving practices.
“Fixed Penalty Notice issued and one driver reported to the PF for failing to comply with temporary restrictions.”
