A body has been recovered in the search for a missing man believed to have fallen in Victoria Quay, Leith.
A search and rescue mission was urgently launched on Saturday morning after police received reports of a man who had fallen into the water down by the shore on Friday night at around 11.25pm.
Sadly a body has been recovered from Victoria Quay by officers. Police say that there are still enquiries ongoing to identify the man and establish the full circumstances. It is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40pm on Sunday, 5 February, 2023, officers recovered the body of a man from the water at Victoria Quay in the Leith area of Edinburgh.
“Enquiries are still ongoing to identify the man and establish the full circumstances but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
This comes after emergency services, including the coastguard and a specialist team from the Scottish Fire and Rescue, were present at Victoria Quay throughout Saturday.
