Police Scotland raced to a road collision in Wester Hailes in Edinburgh on Wednesday morning involving a road sweeper and a car.
Officers responded to the incident on Wester Hailes Road at the Gillespie Crossroad in the West of the capital at around 8am.
In an image shared with Edinburgh Live, a road sweeper can be seen lying on its side on the road surrounded by what appear to be environmental workers in high vis vests.

There is also a large red lorry situated in front of the damaged sweeper.
A white Volkwagen can also be seen on the pavement adjacent to the road sweeper which implies that it is the vehicle that was involved in the crash.
A police car and officer can also be seen responding to the incident in the image supplied.
Freelance journalist, Martin Cutler, posted on Twitter saying: “Police are in attendance on Westerhailes Road at Gillespie Crossroad in #Edinburgh following a collision with a road sweeper and a car. Police Scotland have been contacted for more information. Avoid the area if possible.”
Edinburgh Travel News Twitter account also tweet at around 08:35am: “Reports of a collision on Wester Hailes Road on the approach to Gillespie crossroads.
“Traffic looking slow as you come off Clovenstone roundabout, also some queues building on Gillespie Road.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “ Police were made aware of a road collision involving a road sweeper and a car on Lanark Road at the junction of Wester Hailes Road at around 08:05am.
“There are no reports of injuries and enquiries are ongoing at this time.”
