Edinburgh police hunt for man after racing to 'disturbance' at local property

Police in Edinburgh were seen swooping in on a local property after reports of a 'disturbance.'

A number of emergency vehicles were spotted in the Clermiston area of the city on Friday evening (February 11) after being called out to a property on Rannoch Terrace.

Arriving at the scene at around 5.15pm, officers had been made aware of a "man causing a disturbance" at the residential building.

A police statement confirmed that the man had fled the scene prior to officers arriving, with a search now underway to trace him as soon as possible.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a man causing a disturbance at a property on Rannoch Terrace in Edinburgh around 5.15pm.

“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the man and establish the full circumstances.”
