Edinburgh police hunt English man last seen with sleeping bag at local beauty spot

Police in Edinburgh are looking to trace an English man who was last seen with a sleeping bag at a local beauty spot on Saturday, November 26.

Joseph Yexley, 33, who is also known to go by other surnames, including Morrell from Nottingham has not been seen in over two weeks and there are serious concerns growing for his welfare.

The 33-year-old was last seen around 2.50pm on Saturday, 26 November 2022 in the Holyrood Road area of Edinburgh.

He is described as being about 6 foot tall. He has short dark hair and a dark goatee beard, medium build, and has a tattoo of a chair on his right cheek.

When last seen he was wearing a black beanie-style hat, and an orange puffer-style jacket with a navy jacket over it.

He also had on a black and purple Nike jumper, with matching back Nike jogging bottoms that have a purple stripe down the side.

Joseph was carrying an orange-coloured sleeping bag and was also wearing ankle length pair of walking/workwear boots.

Police Sergeant Jonny Wilson from Gayfield Square Police Station said : “We are growing increasingly concerned for Joseph and we would appeal to anyone who knows where he is to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting 1403 of Wednesday, 14 December, 2022."
