As the Record reports, a 28-year-old woman, who was behind the wheel of the Suzuki, was rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries. Police Scotland say she is in a critical condition.
The 34-year-old woman, who was driving the Mitsubishi Colt, and her two female passengers, 32, were taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy as a precaution.
No one else was injured with the road reopened at around 3.50pm. An investigation into the circumstances of the collision has now been launched and officers are appealing for relevant dash-cam footage.
Road Policing Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick said: “We are appealing for anyone with information that could assist with our crash investigation to get in touch. In particular, if you have dash-cam footage then please contact us.”
Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1865 of Sunday, 21 May, 2023.
