Hoards of Edinburgh partygoers were seen waiting in line in the city centre on Wednesday as they braved the cold and wild conditions.
Waiting patiently in the Cowgate, hundreds of students and clubbers were pictured in the line, which stretched for a considerable distance down the busy street.
All lining up to get inside popular nightclub Subway, the venue posted the image to their social media as they celebrated the launch of 'refreshers week.'

An event designed to celebrate the return of students to the capital after the winter break, it seemed that many were desperate to get back to the city's nightlife.

Although some were seen sheltered under the bridges of the Old Town above, many were standing without jackets in the drizzling rain, with wind gusts also hitting up to just under 40mph before midnight.
Speaking on social media, Subway said: "Busy busy busy Refreshers so far, our Traffic Light Party up next with free entry all night long."
