Widespread disruption is expected in the capital today, with much of the city centre already ground to a halt as an Orange Order march makes its way through the city.
The parades returning to the city will be the first in three years and they are said to have caused traffic chaos for those venturing into the city centre.
Video footage captured by those travelling in town shows drivers making their way down closed roads beyond fallen road closure barriers.
The march began at the Meadows on June 11 at noon before making their way onto Forest Road, across George IV bridge, continuing along Lawnmarket, High Street, Abbey Road and Regent Road.
