An Edinburgh woman has hopes of sending her ‘remarkable’ best friend on holiday - after she was given a devastating terminal diagnosis.
Sophie Blake, 51, discovered friend Caela’s cancer had returned late last year. Two years ago, she had undergone chemo for breast cancer and was given the all clear.
Now Caela knows "the end is coming". Sophie hopes to get together enough money to send her best pal on a two-week holiday with her husband and two children - to ‘make memories’ the teen boys will have to treasure.
