Police Scotland have said that a man has been hospitalised following a disturbance at a community social club in the capital.
Officers say that they were alerted to a disturbance in the Duddingston area of Edinburgh at around 7.50pm on Friday March 24.
One witness to the disturbance claims that a fight broke out at a wake that was taking place at the Jewel Miners Welfare Society & Social Club.

They stated that a male was badly injured during the altercation.
Police stated that officers remained at the scene and that one man was taken to hospital in relation to the incident.
They stated that enquiries were ongoing at this time.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called at 7.50pm on Friday March 24 where they responded to reports of a disturbance within the Duddingston area of Edinburgh.
“A man has been taken to hospital in relation to this incident.
“Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.”
