It is believed that the marks on Braidburn Terrace were previously along more of the roadside and then a recent change to add more resident parking spaces left the two small double yellow lines.
Now there should be more parking spaces available on the road where the double yellow lines preventing drivers from parking used to be.

Paul took to a local community forum to share his amusement at the painted lines and several others shared their views.
One social media user said: "Sums up Edinburgh Council.... bonkers!"
Another joked: "A major contribution to road safety."
While one added: "Game changer."

There has been a lot of frustration from residents due to parking changes across the capital in the last couple of weeks and the prices of resident permits spiked at the start of April.
A spokesperson for the City of Edinburgh Council said: "I’ve spoken to parking who have advised this is snagging left over from a previous road marking project in the area.
"At the time these lines couldn’t be removed due to obstructions on the road. The contractor has been asked to go back and remove the remaining double yellow lines, and I believe they’ll be removed on Friday."
