Thousands of Microsoft users in Edinburgh across the UK have seen their applications and accounts crash, as reports flood in of unresponsive emails and zero gameplay.
A number of users have taken to social media to try to solve the problem, but website DownDetector has shown a large spike this morning of people reporting issues with these programs.
People who are trying to get on with their work day on Microsoft Teams or Outlook, have seen their workflow stopped in their tracks with this crash.

Microsoft released an update an hour ago onto their Twitter account, saying: "We're investigating issues impacting multiple Microsoft 365 services. More info can be found in the admin center under MO502273."
The latest update from the company reads: "We’ve isolated the problem to networking configuration issues, and we're analyzing the best mitigation strategy to address these without causing additional impact. Refer to the admin center MO502273 or https://msft.it/6018eAldp for more information."
However, people are still facing problems with their accounts, as one Twitter user wrote: "Microsoft crashing globally is the sign we all needed. Let’s all go home guys. We’ve seen enough."
Another said: "Microsoft, you don't have to rush. Take your time baby!"
And a third wrote: "Looks like @microsoft@Azure is down. Having Network issue in all regions."
On the Down Detector website, there have been 7,715 UK reports for Microsoft 365 in the last 30 minutes alone, with Microsoft Teams receiving 12,963 in the last hour.
Microsoft Outlook has received 5,539 reports in the last hour in the UK, with Xbox Live also reporting up to 4,526 accounts going dark between 8am and 9am.
It is not known what has caused the issue that appears to have begun at around 8am this morning, but the problems have begun to persist for over an hour.
There has yet to be any further updates from the company bosses on the service outage at this time.
