An Edinburgh man who has lived with a rare health condition for most of his adult life has helped launch a new charity fighting for businesses within the capital to provide accessible seating for customers.
Eddie McGill, 70, was diagnosed with Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) when he was just 23-years-old. The long-term condition affects the spine and main joints within the body causing pain and fatigue.
While out shopping with his wife Alison, Eddie regularly hits a wall and requires a seat to recharge the batteries, but since being diagnosed with AS, he has noticed a lack of accessible seating within Edinburgh and the Lothians.
