Police in Edinburgh have released key CCTV images after a man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an assault.

Officers have issued pictures of a man they now believe could assist with their enquiries after the incident took place in the Cowgate earlier this year.

Following a verbal altercation in the early hours of Friday, October 2022, the man was pushed to the ground following a verbal altercation between the Cowgate and Candlemaker Row.
