A Lothian Bus driver was hit by a stone just outside Edinburgh on Wednesday as police in the area have launched a public appeal.
The incident occurred on the service number 48 in Gorebridge around 3:50pm on Wednesday, August 10, when a stone was hurled at the bus while it travelled along Greenhall Road.
Luckily, the driver and passengers were uninjured after the incident, but police in Midlothian have now launched an appeal and anyone who may have seen or recorded footage of the antisocial behaviour is urged to contact 101.

It's not the first time a bus in the area has been targeted by projectiles. In May, a service 29 had its top window shattered after a group of youths threw stones at the moving vehicle, with passengers onboard terrified after the incident.
In recent months, certain stops within Midlothian have also been suspended due to further antisocial behaviour towards drivers.
Posting an appeal on social media following the incident, officers in Midlothian said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident, which took place around 3.50pm on Wednesday 10th August where the driver of a number 48, LRT bus travelling along Greenhall Road past Barleyknowe Place Gorebridge was hit by a stone thrown at the bus. Thankfully the driver and no one else was injured.
"Anyone with information regarding the incident or person responsible is urged to contact Police on 101 quoting incident number 2286 of 10 August 2022. Alternatively, an anonymous report can be made to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
