Edinburgh locals were left astonished after spotting dozens of 'UFO' style lights on the Pentland Hills Sunday night, which could be seen from Granton.
The incredible display saw hundreds of runners line along the ridge of Allermuir Hill and light up powerful torches from 8pm to quarter past.
The amazing light show left many Edinburgh locals bewildered as they were not previously aware the event was taking place and the lights appeared extraterrestrial from a distance.

Th event was supposed to be a night run held on the 22 of February 2022 because of the special date 22/2/22 but was postponed due to bad weather but was rescheduled to the Spring Equinox yesterday.
The Carnethy Hill Running Club hosting the event said: "We are sticking with the “identity” of “Twosday” because we are still seeking to light up the Pentland ridge line.
"However instead of asking a thousand members of the general public to go up there, we are now asking for hundreds of hill users/walkers to go up there instead, but in essence all who want to turn up are welcome.
"Our recent experiments have shown that 300 powerful white torches (headtorches and bike lights etc) will make a superb spectacle for those in the line and those watching from the city."
Aysha Roudh captured the amazing footage and shared it to Facebook to find out more about the bizarre spectacle.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live she said: "We saw it from near Granton area. We live in one of the top floor appointments so can see the Pentlands quite clearly.
"At first when I looked out as I was just about to put the room blinds down I seen all the lights in that sort of v shape I thought it was a UFO
"I ran to call my husband then when we looked closer we realised that’s where the Pentlands start from and I tried to Google what was going on but didn’t find anything
"I have never seen anything like that before! Living high up I do see some peculiar things in the sky but nothing like that!
"It looked beautiful and mesmerising."
