Edinburgh police are investigating reports of a 'homophobic attack' on a couple at a city park.
The alleged incident occurred just after 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon at Pilrig Park, north east Edinburgh.
Eyewitnesses claim one of the men was kicked in the back as the perpetrator, who was walking a dog, hurled vile homophobic slurs at the same-sex pair.
It is believed the attack was unprovoked.

Police Scotland told Edinburgh Live that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.35pm on Sunday, 21 May, 2023, police received a report of homophobic abuse and an assault at Pilrig Park, Edinburgh earlier that afternoon.
"Enquiries are ongoing".
