An Edinburgh LGBTQ+ event is being held this month, with the aim of allowing families to gather to chat, connect and get involved in the community.
The 'Rainbow Families' event, run by LGBTHealth.org, is just one of dozens of similar events being put on within Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland.
Several different events are being held in the capital, giving members of the LGBTQ+ community a safe space to meet new people and enjoy themselves without having to worry about the opinions of others.

Rainbow Families will take place on Sunday, April 24, between 10am-1pm at the organisation's headquarters opposite Leith Links, where many of the events are held.
On the LGBTHealth.org website, they advertise the gathering by saying: "Come and see our new headquarters in the heart of Leith, right opposite the Leith Links, as we create a space for you and your children to be around other LGBTQ+ families. We’ll provide some crafts and games for the wee ones as well as space for them to move around.
"Duncan Place has accessible toilets for all genders, changing facilities and refreshments will be available from the handy kitchen in the venue.
"We know how hard it can be to attend at specific times, so please feel welcome to drop by at any point between 10am and 1pm. There is a doorbell to use when you arrive and we’ll keep a volunteer close to the entrance to let you in. There is space for buggies and a quieter space with seating should you need it."
People of all diversity will be welcome to attend, including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.
The capacity of the event will be 50 people and spaces are limited, so those wishing to attend the event are being encouraged to register in advance. You can do so here.
