Edinburgh is hosting a huge new whisky festival at BT Murrayfield Stadium

A huge whisky festival is set to arrive in the capital this autumn after the team behind the hugely popular Clackmannanshire festival announce a new Edinburgh event.

They confirmed that Edinburgh's Whisky Festival will be coming to BT Murrayfield Stadium on October 14 bringing together Whisky, Heritage and Wellness as part of an exciting new experience for whisky fans.

The festival will also support the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation to help raise much-needed awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease.

Posting on Facebook, the Slanj Events team posted: "We've got news! Edinburgh's Whisky Festival comes to BT Murrayfield Stadium on October 14th 2023. Following the success of our first love, Clacks Whisky Festival, we will be bringing the unique strands of Whisky, Heritage and Wellness to City of Edinburgh.

"Our Whisky Strand celebrates Scotland’s national drink through the attendance of over 40 exhibitors (distillers, bottlers and other whisky-related exhibitors) bringing over 200 different whiskies from across Scotland and beyond.

"The Heritage strand focuses on bringing the history of whisky production in Scotland back to life through an exhibition and live demonstrations."

The event will take place over two sessions, with a new website being created for people to access information about tickets which will go on sale later this month.
