Edinburgh International Festival to give away 35,000 free tickets to residents

Edinburgh residents are set to be gifted 35,000 free tickets from Edinburgh’s International Festival (EIF) as a ‘thank you’ for 75 years of welcoming visitors to the city.

2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the EIF and their Summer free programme will include a variety of performances from circus acts, orchestras and an immersive installation that has been touted as a ‘spa for the psyche.’

The first free event will take place at Murrayfield Stadium on the opening night of the festival on Friday August 5 and will see a variety of performances including music, theatre, dance and acrobatics.
