An Edinburgh tourist has been left fuming after claiming housekeeping failed to clean his £200-a-night hotel room.
The guest was staying at the Leonardo Royal Hotel on Jeffrey Street during the first week of November but was horrified to not have his apartment serviced once - despite putting the service-requested hanger on the door every day.

The tourist also hit out at the receptionist who he claimed was "completely uninterested" in his query about the cleaning situation and then fumed he would never stay there again.
Management at the hotel apologised and told the customer to get in touch so they could resolve the situation.

Taking to Tripdvisor the raging holidaymaker wrote: "Hotel itself was pleasant enough, breakfast and location were good.
"What let it down was the reception and housekeeping staff, spent four nights here and not once has my room been serviced despite leaving the service request hanger on the door every morning when I leave.
"I don’t expect to pay £200 a night to have to search for clean towels myself."
He continued: "On my last night - tonight as I’m writing this at the hotel - I have returned to find that housekeeping us not been in again, and when I spoke to reception - whom seemed completely uninterested in what I was telling her.
"Her reply was 'do you want me to send them up now' at 6.30 in the evening when I’d been out all day, was cold and tired and need to be up at 4 am to get to the airport.
Before adding: "Definitely will not be staying again and will be contacting the manager for a partial refund to compensate me for the cleaning of the room I have done during my stay."
In response the hotel manager wrote: "Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and I would like to sincerely apologise regarding the issues you encountered during your stay."
The Leonardo Royal Hotel on Jeffrey Street is a three-and-a-half-star hotel in the old town that has previously been rated very good.
It features an all-day Costa Coffee bar and a stylish onsite bar with stunning views of Princes Street and the Balmoral.
