Edinburgh homeowner in stitches as squirrel clambers inside top bathroom window

An Edinburgh home owner was left puzzled this week after discovering they had an unusual guest in the upstairs bathroom.

The TikTok user shared the hilarious moment on social media as they realised a squirrel had clambered in through the open window.

Scuttling about the bathroom, the furry friend appeared confused and frantic as it realised it was definitely not where it was supposed to be, darting from the bath to the toilet.

Panning over to the small crack in the window where the animal had entered the room, the user suggested their cat may have had something to do with the occurrence.

Captioning the clip, the said: "Squirrel just climbed in through my upstairs window, probably trying to get away from my cat."

Clearly confused on how to make its way back into the outside world, the squirrel is also seen having a good sniff and look around to figure out its next move.

In a bid to escape, the video then cuts to downstairs in the house, where the animal is seen making its way down the flight of stairs, before heading out the open front door.

Quickly seeing over 1,000 views on the social media app, the user also hilariously used the 'you've got a friend in me' soundtrack to cover the clip.
