An Edinburgh high school is in the running to be named 'best secondary in the UK'.

The Tes Schools Awards have announced their shortlist and Firrhill High School is the only Scottish school to make the final in the Secondary School of the Year category.

The prestigious awards recognise the best teachers and schools from UK state and independents, including early years settings, primary and secondary.
