Edinburgh Gin has introduced a new flavour with a twist into their range - Orange & Basil Gin. The distillers say the fresh, fruity gin makes for a great G&T as well as a good base for a cocktail.
The combo allows for the sweetness from the Valencian orange to blend with the subtle herbal, basil. Edinburgh Gin used both fresh and dried Valencian orange peel resulting in fresh crisp citrus notes that is delicately balanced with subtle sweetness. The fresh basil is vapour infused giving the gin a refined aroma and deliciously smooth and aromatic taste. It truly is a springtime sensation.

Edinburgh Gin’s Orange & Basil Gin Fizz
Ingredients
- 50ml EG Orange & Basil Gin
- 12.5ml Fresh Orange Juice
- 12.5ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 25ml Gomme Syrup
- Sparkling water
- 1 x Basil leaf
Method
Firstly shake the gin, Fresh OJ, lemon juice and Gomme syrup. Then double strain into a highball glass, add ice, top up with sparkling water, garnish with a large basil leaf and sip away
