Locals have gone wild for a brand new food stall after its debut at Pitt Market this weekend.
The Funnel Cake Co. served up 'Edinburgh’s original funnel cake', bringing the popular sweet North American treat to Scotland.
The concept arrived at the legendary Leith street food market last week courtesy of American and Little Chartroom prep chef Danielle Sullivan, who said following a succesfull weekend: "I’m grateful I get to share a little bit of home with everyone here in Scotland."

Funnel Cakes are traditionally found at carnivals and festivals across the US and are typically baked up using pancake-style batter drizzled into a pot of hot oil.
Flavours being served up at Pitt Street included churros, apple pie, black forest and banana cream pie, while there were also vegan options on offer too.
And given the absence of funnel cakes in Edinburgh prior to the new Pitt Market arrival, locals were licking their lips at the prospect of giving them a try.
Food blogger Edinburgh Eats said: "This was the perfect sweet treat, so light and fluffy."
Another lucky enough to give the cakes ago called it "absolutely lovely".
The American dessert appeared to be a huge hit with locals, but also with Americans missing a taste of home.
One Instagram follower said ahead of Funnel Cake Co.'s maiden appearance: "Omg I can't wait! Ok as an American who lives five minutes from The Pitt who misses funnel cakes DEARLY (particularly in the summer) I need all the details!
Meanwhile, dogs didn't miss out on the tasty action either, with customers getting a free puppy cake for their pooches with every purchase, with one dog owner adding that their Frenchie '100% approved'.
But for those who missed out, with some admitting they were 'gutted' they couldn't make it along, fear not - The Funnel Cake Co. will making their return to Pitt Street, seemingly by popular demand, on June 3rd, 4th and 5th.
