Edinburgh fixer-upper house hits the market with iconic carpets and odd garden shed

An Edinburgh home has hit the market in one of the city's poshest neighbourhoods, but it's in need of some serious TLC.

The three-bedroom property in Trinity is situated amongst a row of well-maintained family homes, and comes with a front and rear garden.

Currently on the market for offers over £355,000 the house is a pretty reasonable price for its size and area, however inside there is some work to be done.

Sitting in a bit of a time-warp, the decor appears to have not been touched for decades, with the bold bright and patterned carpets instantly giving its last renovation date away.

Continued throughout most of the downstairs rooms, the print might not be to everyone's taste in today's world, alongside the orange patterned wallpaper to go along with it.

The main living area also comes complete with its traditional fireplace, which was first installed a good while ago in the 1970s.

Described as needing some "modernisation", the kitchen is also almost completely stripped back, with the rest probably also needing removed in place of a newer fit out.

The house only has one bathroom, with the three piece suite including a patterned glass shower screen, which some would likely want replaced.

The bedrooms themselves however aren't too dated in their decor, with most rooms just needing a fresh lick of paint and a new carpet.

Outside, the house comes with a well-sized front garden which looks out onto the street, as well as a very long and large back garden, home to some flower and plant beds as well as a very large shed.

Almost the size of a garage, the green building appears to have been a fixture of the garden for years, with inside fitted with lighting and a huge space for storage.

Speaking about the property, agents MHD Property said: "This light and well-proportioned, three bedroom, mid-terrace house is set on a quiet residential street, in the heart of popular Trinity, with mature garden and rear access to a wooden garage.

"The property is now in need of some modernisation but offers bright and airy spaces and a lovely outlook.

"Bangholm Park is a short no-through road, lined with well maintained gardens, and is an enviably located, in the heart of Trinity. Just a short walk away are the stunning grounds of the Royal Botanical Gardens and Inverleith Park with its playground and exercise loop.

"The property is well served by a lovely selection of bars, bistros and cafes at nearby Goldenacre, and is also conveniently close to the vibrant boutiques and eateries of popular Stockbridge."
