Edinburgh and East Lothian estate agency firm Coulters has made two new hires within its senior team.
Jill Andrew joined the team as partner, while Louisa Raistrick has taken on the role of head of estate agency.
Chairman Mike Fitzgerald commented: “Both are highly qualified professionals with enviable experience in areas where we are already strongly positioned, and their appointments further cement our positioning as one of the leading residential property experts in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
“After some market disruption at the end of 2022, we strongly believe that the need for independent, professional and experienced advice is more important than ever as both clients and businesses get to grips with the current and developing economic context.”
Andrew was previously director at both Burness Paull and Simpson & Marwick.
Her new role at Coulters will be managing sales and purchases, as well as acting on behalf of small developers looking to market new build houses.
She is chair of the Edinburgh Conveyancers Forum, as well as a member of the Scottish Conveyancing Forum and a postgraduate tutor at the Edinburgh School of Law.
As head of estate agency, Raistrick manages Coulter’s 16-strong team of estate agents.
An experienced chartered surveyor, she joins from a 14-year stint at Simpson & Marwick, where she was most recently director of property sales. Prior to that, she worked in land and development with CBRE and Rettie.
Raistrick will also look after the IT systems at Coulters, implementing new technologies to improve the experience for both clients and the internal team.
“As well as overseeing the estate agency team, one of my key focuses at Coulters is to enhance our already stellar customer experience, making the most of new technology to enhance and improve our client journey,” she commented.
