Edinburgh emergency services rush to major city road after two-car crash

Emergency services have rushed to West Granton Road following a collision.

Police, Scottish Fire and Rescue and an ambulance were in attendance after two cars crashed on Thursday morning. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service explained that they received a call at 10.51am and two fire engines arrived at the scene by 10.55am.

One female was taken to the Royal Infirmary for a precautionary check.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.50am on Thursday, 5 January, 2023, officers received a report of a two vehicle crash on West Granton Road, Edinburgh. Emergency services are at the scene."

Lothian buses announced bus diversions affecting the number 8, and 16.
