Emergency services are currently in attendance at a major incident in the Clemiston area of Edinburgh.
Police, as well as fire and ambulance crews are at the scene on Ardshiel Avenue, with Scottish Fire and Rescue confirming that they are currently in attendance, responding to a fire inside a dwelling.
Crews raced to the scene just after 9pm on Wednesday, June 8, and from images at the scene, it looks like a huge emergency service presence are dealing with the ongoing blaze.
One eyewitness told Edinburgh Live: "It looks like it's coming from a house on Ardshiel Avenue, just opposite Torrance Park in Clermiston.
"There are around six police cars, four fire appliances and a height appliance, plus multiple ambulances and an incident response unit.
"The windows on the cottage were all smashed but I'm unsure whether that occurred before or after the flat. There is also boarding that looks new on one of the windows.
"The whole area is crawling with emergency services and there are people all over the street looking to see what has happened."
A video from the scene shows multiple police cars in the area, as well as a nearby street filled with fire engines, with various fire fighters in and around the property.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "We are currently in attendance at a fire inside a dwelling on Ardshiel Avenue, Clermiston, the incident is still ongoing.
"We received the call at 21:12pm."
