Alice-Marie Dixon Ryan travelled from Newcastle to visit the popular tourist attraction.
She captioned her video ‘It’s a kids ride they said!’ as a slideshow of pictures show terrified faces of her and her family members strapped into the ride.
The Dungeons are known for scary performances as actors replicate horrible tales from the past dark history of Edinburgh.
Majority of the shows are kid approved including the Grassmarket Gallows ride as long as they are over the height minimum.
At the end of the Edinburgh Dungeons scary tour and experience there is a ride called the Drop Dead Ride: Grassmarket Gallows that straps unlucky guests in and drops them from a height of 1.4 metres.
Mimicking the experience of being executed by hanging as people were throughout history at Edinburgh's Grassmarket, the ride follows a narration from ‘the executioner’.
Pictures are taken by the Dungeons as the ride drops the passengers making for hysterical viewing as all of her family are screaming and gripping the handles on the ride.
One particularly funny clip shows a couple that look utterly terror-struck as the ride drops and then catches them at the bottom.
The woman has her eyes closed and is making a horrified face while the man looks rather shocked instead.
