A collision on a busy Edinburgh commuter route is causing heavy rush hour delays on Monday morning.
Police are currently in attendance on the M8 between Junction 5 and 4A West Lothian after an accident that occurred shortly after 8am on Monday, November 28.
Traffic Scotland alerted motorists to the incident near Harthill and warned those in the area to expect delays of up to 20 minutes due to the smash.

It is currently unknown how many vehicles were involved, but pictures uploaded by a traffic camera in the area show huge tailbacks starting to form on the busy motorway between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Traffic Scotland said police are in attendance and delays of up to 20 minutes are currently expected.
They said: "NEW 08:16 #M8 Junction 5-4A The Eastbound carriageway lane 2 (of 2) is currently restricted due to a collision.
"Police and TRISS are in attendance. Traffic is building up on approach. Current delay approx. 20 minutes."
Around 8.25am on Monday, 28 November, 2022, police received a report of a road crash involving three vehicles at Junction 5 of the M8 eastbound. There are no reports of any injuries. One man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences.
