A 21-year-old man has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after being hit by a car in Lochend Park on Sunday night.
The incident took place at around 8.15pm at the local park on Lochend Road South on April, 2.

Police and an ambulance sped to the scene but the driver of the vehicle had already fled the scene by the time police arrived.
The victim's condition is currently unknown but the area remains cornered off by cops who have been there throughout the night.
An investigation has also been launched to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian within Lochend Park, Edinburgh, around 8.15pm on Sunday, 2 April, 2023."

They added: “The car left the scene prior to police arrival and the 21-year-old male pedestrian was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 3398 of 2 April, 2023.”
