The owners of an unlucky dog that was suffering from a bout of sneezing fits made a terrifying discovery when they took their beloved pet to the vets.
Vets had to sedate the unfortunate cocker spaniel Jess to explore her nose which was found to have a three inch stick wedged in one of her nostrils.
The incident happened last month in Edinburgh when the energetic pooch suffered the injury after running into a bush.
