Dobbies are putting on a Santa’s Grotto that is truly for the whole family with the addition of their Santa Paws experience.
The Grotto for children will kick off on November 24 and will see kids take a journey through a magical woodland where they can spot reindeer, rabbits and forest creatures. Those in attendance will then become Santa’s little helpers which will involve a number of activities that will be revealed on the day.
Of course the event will be rounded up by kids getting to meet Santa and receive a lovely gift. Parents will also be able to purchase a picture with Santa if they wish.

Dobbies in Lasswade are also putting on a Quiet Grotto for children with special needs on December 9. Organisers say that sounds and visual elements will be controlled and adapted to help limit anxiety and sensory overload.
And the family dog does not need to miss out on the fun with the Edinburgh gardening store putting on a Santa Paws Grotto that will allow beloved pooches and their owners the opportunity to see Santa. Four legged fur balls will also be given a gift and additional photo opportunities can also be purchased.
Dobbies’ partnership and events manager, Sarah Murray, said: “Meeting Santa is an important part of Christmas and we’re looking to make this inclusive for all, with quiet and dog-friendly events available in our Edinburgh store. We can’t wait to bring the magic of Christmas to life for our customers.”
Advance booking for Dobbies' Edinburgh Christmas events are recommended to avoid disappointment. All grotto prices have been held, with no price increases.
